Either way it’s written Haloumi, Halloom or Halloumi, we discover the cheese originating in the island of Cyprus. It’s also called the grilling cheese from Cyprus. The Haloumi can be serve grilled on a skillet or on the BBQ. According to the tradition, the Haloumi is made from sheep and goat milk. Here at the Fromagerie Polyethnique, we reconstituted the Haloumi’s characteristics using cow milk, following the ancient method taught by Lebanese knowledge.
