Haloumi salad


  • Red tomatoes in cubes
  • Baladi cucumber or other cooked green beans, refreshed
  • Lettuce, baby spinach or watercress, trimmed
  • Fresh mint or parsley chopped or dried oregano
  • Minced red onion, soaked in cold water, if desired
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Pepper
  • Haloumi cheese, sliced ​​or diced, rinsed thoroughly under cold water, blotted


  1. Prepare the salad with the vegetables and seasonings
  2. Drizzle with oil of lemon juice and pepper. Caution, do not salt, the cheese will be enough
  3. Toast cheese in a nonstick skillet without fat just for the colour on each side
  4. Arrange the cheese on the salad
