Fougasse’s cheese duo

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of Haloumi cheese
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon black and white sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon homemade tomato jam

FOR THE JAM

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 300g of sugar
  • ½ vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla flavour
  • 1 star shaped anise

 

Preparation

  1. Brush one cheese slice with honey and coat with sesame seeds
  2. Grill the two slices of cheese until golden on both sides. On a plate, garnish the Haloumi cheese with tomato jam and serve with greenery. Enjoy!

FOR THE JAM

  1. Blanch tomatoes and cut roughly
  2. Slow cook the tomatoes with sugar, vanilla and anise until stewed
  3. Let cool down and reserve
