Succumb to the gourmet simplicity of this Haloumi Le Bédouin cheese panini. Grilled to perfection, this crispy sandwich combines the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of Haloumi with fresh ingredients, for a quick and tasty meal.

This recipe can also be made with Nabulsi Le Bédouin cheese, for a slightly spicier, more fragrant variation.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of grilled Haloumi cheese
  • 2 caramelized pears
  • 100 g pitted dates
  • 2 panini breads
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

  1. Cook the dates and honey in the water over a low heat for 20 minutes, keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't run out of water.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Garnish panini breads with date purée, caramelized pears, prosciutto and toasted Haloumi.
